Antifungal

Antifungal refers to a medication, substance, or treatment that is used to prevent or treat fungal infections such as ringworm, cadidiasis, and athelete’s foot. Fungal infections can occur on the skin, in the nails, in the mouth, in the respiratory tract, or in other parts of the body.

Antifungal medications work by either killing the fungi or preventing them from growing and spreading. Examples of antifungal medications include fluconazole, itraconazole, and terbinafine. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional to determine the appropriate treatment for a fungal infection.
